Really enjoyed this story, Solo. It's probably because I can relate so well to it. Right now I'm living much the same adventure--neck deep in nature, off the grid, growing my own veggies. My kitchen this year also looked like "the gullet and tonsils of a Chia Pet whale." It's good to know there are other crazy homesteader types out there.
