Confessions of a College Callgirl: The Price

"“Looking to try this,” you say. “Is it really, really awful?” you ask ... But I know also that you’re responding to something you’ve found in my writing–the vicarious thrill of someone who seems to have played with fire and barely singed her fingertips ... But there’s another side to this deal that I’m afraid I haven’t shown you."

lol, you have been waiting to share your blog with us for a long time now..:)

Haha! Well, unfortunately my life doesn't make for such moving telling. Not sure if it'd be so cool though having "College Callgirl" on my resume! :)

I posted it here because it's such a powerful example of why blogging can be innovative. Blogging lends a voice to people who would otherwise go unpublished. It takes out the middle man, allowing people, like "College Callgirl", to share their life experiences to serve as a lesson, or as an example to some (which isn unfortunate and something which she reacts to in this particular post).

A powerful example, and a powerful narrative. It takes guts to share your life with strangers on that level, and blogs provide the anonymity sometimes required for such expression. It doesn't have to be in print to move and instruct. It doesn't have to be a hardcover or paperback or on the bestseller list to inspire. That in itself is a lesson.
