It Ain’t Funny – Plagiarism and Defamation

Jerry Seinfeld, not content to let the powers that be sort out his wife’s alleged plagiarism problems, took a few rather low shots at the opposing author on national television and has now gotten himself a defamation lawsuit for his troubles. Is all publicity good publicity?

Yes, pretty much all publicity is good publicity. At least to a point. Not sure where it is, but Britney Spears has passed it. Jerry Seinfeld? It'll definitely drive up sales of his wife's book.

I very much agree that all press is good press, up to a magic point where it's very, very bad. However, I happen to think that the Sienfeld book has passed that point. People think of her as a thief, and it's not as though they knew her before this to have some resevoir of good will to draw from.
Sad that we don't have sales of this book by month handy, otherwise this would make an excellent bet between us. Oh well. Have a beer and pretend I bought it for you, and I'll do likewise.
