Kurt Vonnegut, RIP

A nice eulogy by Cory Doctorow. I didn't know or remember Slaughterhause 5 is partly biographical. He was actually captured by the Germans in WWII and put on work detail in (then beautiful) Dresden as it was being carpet bommed by the allied forces. Time for a re-read?

Hey- you beat me. I was just going to post about this!

His books are still timely.

Slaughterhouse 5 is on my "to be read list", and has been for years. Gonna work my way through 20th century Hugo and Nebula award winners as soon as I've finished what's still unread in my book case.
