Okay! So which of these books do you suggest? Since I've never read anything of his, I need to know which to vote for.

I've read three of those, and I'd choose American Gods. Anansi Boys comes a close second.

Hey Hans! Is Author Promo stuff not supposed to come up in the RSS feed? I just noticed that none of the stories in this category ever seem to show up there, even if they make the front page.

Default setting is that Author Promo stories are hidden. You have to manually check all categories in your profile to see all categories including Author Promo. If you haven't logged in to the site, you will not see Author Promo stories unless you click the Author Promo link in the category bar.

I did that. They appear on the front page for me, but not in the RSS feed.

Okay, same reason there, you have to *choose* to see them and the RSS feed is the same regardless of whether you have an account or not so they're excluded from it. Perhaps there should be an RSS feed with author promo stories for those who want to see them.

Yay! American Gods is the winner! I really recommend Harper Collins Audio version, the narrator makes a superb job! Get it and listen in the car or something, you'll be spellbound!

I'm a little bummed. I wanted one of the books I haven't read. (I was also disappointed by American Gods.)

I loved it but then I didn't read it, I listened to the audio book. I guess the narration makes a difference.

Funny thing is, I didn't get the Wednesday reference until weeks after I'd finished the book. Considering Swedish is my native language and the Swedish word for Wednesday is derived from the real name of that character, I should have realized it sooner! :)
