Actually works quite well. Will be interesting to see what the results come out as, but as there is no end date could end up being an interesting barometer of people's changing tastes ?
Discovered it through the Guardian Books Blog..
Also features Celebrity Top 5 Books...Nick Hornby's Top 5s are on there as well as Snow Patrol, Keane, Michael Eavis and a bunch of others.
Definitely worth a look and if you like your music and films they are running polls on those subjects too..
Same thing as I commented on another story. Until this gets a critical mass of participants, it's going to be kind of wonky.
I think it will also be biased toward more recent books because the population is bigger every day, as well as the more recent a book is the better people remember it. Right now titles like "His Dark Materials" show up in the top ten. Puh-lease.
I suppose we could have used the title 'not safe for anyone' many times already, but I thought it would be especially pertinent here because in this show Richard and Hans illustrate the many situations in which the C-word is perfectly appropriate.

I am impressed by the Jane Austen showings - not bad for 19th century lit. It shows the power of the fan clubs devoted to all things Jane.
