Swap ‘n’ Sell Sites?
Submitted by mwilliams on Sat, 2008-02-09 01:25.Are used bookstores taking advantage of the members of book swapping sites such as Bookmooch by dumping their junk in return for saleable books? This swapper is suggesting that booksellers may be making a tidy little profit by farming book swaps. If it’s true, can it be fair?

Define "fair". If people think the books are worth money instead of a replacement book, they should sell the book to a bookseller, or on half.com or amazon, or any number of other venues. Or don't pick junk books on bookmooch. It's not like those sites pick the books for their members. They've picked which books they want.
