World's longest poem in English now belongs to writer and artist Nigel Tomm. Almost all of his new book "The Blah Story, Volume 8" consists of one poem which contains 98,728 words; 449,441 characters (with spaces); 23,161 lines; 728 pages. It is the longest published poem in English literature. The poem is called 'My Blah Story' and it is written by one novel's character.

SocioScifi, and rational for myths that create the mischievous canvas of historical nonsense: creating passage in a way that linear print can't do as easily without sequencial art. I want to lead you on a scavenger hunt through forms of time, stitches of space, and your own reality; to collect a conclusion out of altering endings, and reincarnated/reborn beginnings.

Douglas Coupland, visual artist and writer, has combined his talents to produce an interesting piece of artwork. He’s taken the covers of fifty books he has read more than once and attached them to pieces of wood. The length of the wood indicates the importance he gives to each book. See if it grabs you.

Brian Dettmer carves into books revealing the artwork inside, creating complex layered three-dimensional sculptures. Much as I hate the idea of cutting up books, this is really cool.

I’ll admit to being one of those book people who also loves books as objets d’art. I’d so enjoy this bookstore, especially since it’s in Old Montreal, a truly magical area of the city. Bring a thick wallet, though, and don’t forget to put on the white gloves; these books are treasures. Check it out.
