The story is about a cloned scientist who invents the means to time travel and the adventures he and his time traveling crew have through 20th century history, including quite possibly causing the Roswell Incident in 1947.

I am submitting Chapter 01 from my first novel "Dandyflowers". The story is actually two stories in one. In the present Erin Collins gets engaged & her father Jerry spends the better part of a four day weekend telling her the second story, his life beginning in August 1962 & ending in May 1972. The story shifts back and forth between then and now.

I have just recently read this book, and can recommend it highly. It’s a work of historical fiction and features some of the best and most well-developed characters you will ever come across. The book is funny, touching, insightful and intriguing by turns. It’s one of those works you can get lost in until the end. Rave, rave, rave…

It’s fiction; it’s non-fiction. It’s called This Time of Dying, and it has just won the McKitterick prize for first novels by authors over forty. The book is set during the global influenza epidemic of 1918, and going by the rave review, it’s a gripper.

I love a good ghost story. The narrator is a dead sixteen-year-old who is doomed to be a ‘hungry ghost’ until she can finally become an ancestor in the Chinese tradition.
