Salman Rushdie fans will be happy to learn that he next Rushdie novel The Enchantress of Florence will be published June 3rd by Random House. The historical novel is set in Renaissance Florence and the court of the Mughal Empire and offers intrigue, drama, romance and magic.

Tom Wolfe on His New Book and His Decision to Leave FSG

Wolfe’s forthcoming book Back to Blood, which will be published in 2009 by Little, Brown., will deal with class, family, wealth, race, crime, sex, corruption, and ambition, but the overall theme will be Miami's immigrant population. Of his decision to end his 42-year tenure with Farrar Straus, he says only that it was all very friendly.
