His co-author Roy Abraham Varghese has been accused of putting words into Flew's mouth, taking advantage of his decreasing mental condition. A Muslim preacher has put a price on the head of Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasrin, and she has now been forced into hiding after protests turned into rioting. Nasrin’s work calls for a rewriting of the Quran and questions the lot of Muslim women, for which "extreme liberal views" she should either die or be packed off to the west.

Eight-hundred copies of the document are being published and being sold for more than $8,000 each, except one copy that is being presented to Pope Benedict XVI. Libraries and scholars from around the world have already reserved most of the volumes being published.
