Well, I’m not sure about the life changing part, but science fiction is in the business of provoking thought, and there’s some great looking reads here for those who haven’t already been there and done them.

I generally like the list, but io9 really lacked in the explaining *why* these are life-changing books.

I highly recommend The Sparrow and The Mount if you haven't read them.
